Service Description: Middlesex County Social Services, delivering Ontario Works, subsidized childcare, discretionary benefits and other social programs to the residents of Middlesex County.
Eligibility criteria: To prevent residents who are in danger of becoming homeless remain in their homes. Determination is made regarding the cause of the issue, and if a plan exists going forward, to prevent a reoccurrence.
Application procedure: The time taken to process an application varies, depending upon required information and how soon an applicant can provide it. Usually, the whole process is completed within a couple of days.
Middlesex County does not provide a loan - the money is paid on their behalf and is not expected to be repaid.
Accepting applications from: Middlesex County residents who are not on social assistance
Maximum grant provided: Equivalent to two months rent
