Description of Services: Social and Family Services Department (Ontario Works, Child Care Services, Social Housing)
Eligibility Criteria:
Must demonstrate that the household has a low income, receives benefits from Ontario Works (OW) or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), that is, an annual income of less than $16,862 for a single person, $21,077 for a family of two, $26,213 for a family of three, $31,731 for a family of four, $35,469 for a family of five, and so forth
Must live in the United Counties of Prescott and Russell
Must be aged 18 or over and priority will be given to families with children
Must be at risk of eviction and demonstrate that the situation is temporary (e.g., expecting to receive employment insurance benefits), not chronic (e.g. rent already too high)
Must not have used this program for funds in the last two years, unless any previous loan has been repaid

Maximum loan/grant provided, max months rent:
Maximum of two months rent payment up to a maximum of $1,000.00 per
household
Repayment:
All loans are paid back by monthly installments (minimum of $50.00 per
month). Post-dated cheques are required (if possible).
